Regulatory Acceleration
The BAC is mapping the regulatory framework for blockchain, crypto-assets and digital assets in Central Africa, cataloguing the products and services involved, and identifying the players who need a rule, an authorization or a clarification to operate in the CEMAC zone.
Provisional version: the lists and texts shown here are being validated by experts.
The approach
Three steps
01
Map the regulatory architecture
Who regulates what in Central Africa: regional and national institutions, applicable texts, areas of silence and uncertainty.
02
Map products and services
The universe of possibilities of blockchain, crypto-assets and digital assets, and their related applications, classified so they can be matched to the applicable framework.
03
Register the players
Companies and organizations in the zone whose solution calls for a rule or authorization register, so that regulation moves forward from real needs.
Scope
Who can register
Any company, association or team established in Cameroon or another CEMAC state that has a solution involving blockchain or digital assets.
Countries of the zone
- Cameroon
- Central African Republic
- Republic of the Congo
- Gabon
- Equatorial Guinea
- Chad
