How BAC is governed
BAC operates under Cameroon's Law N°90/053 on freedom of association, with a General Assembly, a Board of Directors, an Executive Bureau, and a distinct Honorary Council of eminent advisors.
Statutory bodies
The Statutes (adopted 9 June 2018) define three statutory bodies plus two membership colleges. Each has a distinct mandate.
General Assembly
Comprises all members; meets at least once a year to approve accounts and budget, elect Executive Bureau members, and deliberate on the agenda. Votes on persons are by secret ballot.
Board of Directors (Conseil d'Administration)
Holds the broadest powers to authorize acts, set the annual budget, and authorize legal action. Only an Extraordinary Board session can amend the Statutes, dissolve the association, or approve a merger.
Executive Bureau (Conseil de Gestion)
The Board plus other Assembly-elected members, serving a renewable three-year term. Statutory seats include President, Vice-President, Secretary-General, Treasurer, and Directors for the Government, Education and Corporate commissions.
The Conseil des Membres d'Honneur (Honorary Council) is a distinct, non-voting advisory college — see Governance & Leadership members below and the Membership page for how it differs from the Board.

Commissions & working groups
The Statutes establish three standing commissions; a broader set of working groups and special interest groups (WGs/SIGs) organizes technical and sector work.
Government Commission
Liaison with Cameroonian public institutions and public-sector strategy.
Education Commission
Liaison with the education sector, training and certification.
Corporate Commission
Liaison with the private sector and enterprise members.

Organized in four clusters: Sciences/Healthcare/Tech, Digital Economy, Governance/Legal/Regulation, and Education.
